Rule 4 from the Rule of the Order reads: I will READ from the New Testament daily.
When I read this rule, I consciously add the words “AND APPLY” after “READ”. I believe that we are called, not just to read the Bible, but to live our lives as Jesus did, guided by His teachings, parables and the way He lived His life. Saint Francis of Assisi would tell his followers, “Always preach the Bible… use words if necessary”.
